We Arrived

After an easy walk through security and a nice hour or two wait (which most of the students didn't mind because there was, of course, a shake shack near by), we boarded the plane. A hop, skip, and a jump later we were landing in Tel Aviv.

After leaving the airport we met our guide (5th year running) Zvi Geva and our medic Yisraela, who is just back from the army. She is quiet but I think has a lot to teach our students, especially about her family which is from Ethiopia.

We then gave students about an hour to shower and change in the hotel and made our way over to the beach. We did a mixer or two, sang some Kabbalat Shabbat songs, and got a chance to look around. The students kept marveling about how soft the sand was.

Then we came back to the hotel and had Shabbat Dinner.

Now students are getting ready for bed. We are going to turn in early today so we can be ready for a day of touring tomorrow.
